To provide comprehensive childcare services for displaced children due to death, separation, abuse, abandonment, illness, or other unfortunate circumstances.
While ensuring that the children’s rights are being protected, we strive to provide a stable and loving environment through education, counseling and mentoring them through their adolescent years in preparation for their transition into adulthood and independence.
To offer our children a place where they can feel safe and secure, but moreover, to provide a place that they can call home.

experience to assist them with starting their lives independently.
Transitional Home Update:
We are so close! Only $25,000 left to complete Phase Two of the Transitional Housing project for the development of home pods for the young men and women who grew up in child protective services like Ranfurly. Two individual structures, Phase One consisting of two dwellings, and Phase Two consisting of four dwellings that are located on the property grounds of Ranfurly Homes for Children.

- For most children in the Bahamian social services system, Ranfurly is their last home before they turn 18 and live on their own.
- Although Ranfurly is the largest children’s home in The Bahamas, it receives the smallest amount of government funding.
- Ranfurly’s subvention from The Bahamas Government is $120,000 per year.
- Ranfurly provides everything for children living in the home including food, shelter, private education, clothing, and extracurricular activities.
- Ranfurly is equipped to house up to 40 children at a time.
- Ranfurly provides professional counseling for its residents since most have been abused or survived great personal trauma.
- The Ranfurly Home for Children is registered with the Government of The Bahamas as a certified non-profit organization.
