I’m Calvin, and I’m 13 years old. I’m in Grade 8.  My hobbies are Track, Basketball, and Video Games.  My goals for the upcoming year are to study more, train for track and field, and get fit. I hope to become a Chef, Track Star, or an Artist.  My favorite food is all Bahamian.  Ranfurly to me is a safe place to rest, get a good education, and have warm meals.  If I could change the world what would I eliminate? I would eliminate violence.

What are your goals for the upcoming year? I want to be more helpful at the home.

I’m D’Ashnae and I’m 18.  I’m a Grade 12 student.

What are your goals for the upcoming year? To get accepted into a college.

What do you want to become in the future? Computer Science

What do you like about The Bahamas? I like Bahamian Junkanoo and have fun with friends and family.

What do you like about Ranfurly? More advanced than other homes and the availability to computers to complete schoolwork.

What do you like about The Bahamas? I like beautiful beaches, and the big resorts (Atlantis/BahaMar).

What are your goals for the upcoming year? I would like to improve my technique in soccer.

What do you like about Ranfurly? I like my peers in the home and the staff members.

What do you like about The Bahamas? The local movie theater not far from the home.

I’m Kendrick and I’m 17 years old. My biggest goal is to do better in school.   I like to play video games, especially Playstation 3.  I also like to bake and fix cars.  When I’m all done with my education, I’d like to design cars.  I’d really like to design Audis – they’re my favorite cars.

The Bahamas is wonderful because people come here from all over the world to take vacations in hotels like Atlantis and Bahamar.

Ranfurly is a good place that takes care of children’s needs.

Hi, I’m Mikeya. I’m 15 years old and in Grade 9.

Hobbies: Dancing

What are your goals for the upcoming year? I would like to improve my grades at school although they are good.

What do you want to become in the future? Cosmetologist or a Masseuse.

What do you like about The Bahamas? I love Bahamian food.

Hello, I’m Nathaniel.  I’m 15 and I’m a Grade 10.  I’m really into sports.  I play baseball and I’ve played on the basketball team before.  One day I’d like to study to be a pilot.  I’ve always loved seaplanes and I’d like to fly commercial planes for a living.

The Bahamas is a great place to live if you love the ocean like I do.

Ranfurly is a good place to come and build your future.  Ranfurly keeps you away from bad influences and trains you to become an adult.

If I could change one thing in the world, I’d make a difference for hungry people in the world.

Hello, I’m Richard.  I am 15 and I’m in Grade 10.  My hobbies are playing basketball (I’m great at shooting and being a point guard), sailing with Optis and watching sailing videos.  I would really like to sail in the Opti Championship in Argentina in July 2014.  That would be great!  I’d like to be either a radiologist or a professional basketball player when I’m done with school.

I think the best things about The Bahamas are our oceans and our delicious conch salad.

Ranfurly is a good place for children who have been abused or abandoned.

If I could change the world, I would help all the starving children in Africa.

Hi, I’m Richard.  I’m in Grade 8. I’m 13 years old. Sailing is my favorite thing in the world.  I sail with the Nassau Yacht Club, and I know that I’m going to become a champion sailor in the Olympics.  I like living in The Bahamas, but I dream about visiting different places like Moscow.

Living at Ranfurly is like living with a great big family.  The people here help you and give you whatever they can just like a family would.

If I could change anything about our world, I’d make it so that we had flying cars and flying trains.  That would be cool!
